Peru’s Sabancaya volcano roars to life with eruption

A volcano in the South American country of Peru has erupted sending ash and smoke 3500m into the sky.

The 6,000-meter high volcano is called Sabancaya which means "tongue of fire" in the local language.

Authorities have warned the people in surrounding communities that they could be affected by the ash.
