Queensland Police make Max their first honorary police dog
A 17-year-old dog, who is deaf and half-blind, has become the first honorary police dog in Queensland, Australia.
Max, who is a blue heeler, was awarded this title after protecting a three-year-old girl who had got lost in bushland while on a walk.
The dog stayed by his young friend's side all night, then led rescuers to her in the morning.
Now, the police have recognised what an amazing thing Max did that day. What a good boy!
