Thailand cave rescue: How did they get trapped?

Twelve boys and their football coach were found trapped in underground caves in Thailand on 2 July.

The group had been missing for nine days after they went to explore the caves on 23 June. They became trapped by rising waters caused by heavy rainfall.

International rescue teams are working around the clock to try to rescue the group as quickly as possible.
