Women and girls in science: How do scientists monitor the brain?

For International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Dr Gemma Bale from University College London explains just how we can monitor the brain at different times.

The day is for celebrating women in science, and encouraging girls to concentrate on scientific subjects in schools.

Dr Bale shows Laura, Samantha and Soraya a device which measures the oxygen and blood flow through the brain, and lets them test it out with some tricky maths problems.

Looks like learning division was worth it!
