Climate change: Why are so many animal species facing extinction?

There are thought to have been billions of different species on Earth since life began and most of them are now extinct.

Animal species going extinct is a natural process.

But scientists say the rate at which species are going extinct now is the fastest it's been for millions of years - and this is worrying.
