US firefighters arrive at Sydney International Airport

Firefighters from New Zealand, Canada and the United States of America have been travelling to Australia this week.

They are there to help Australian firefighters, many of whom are volunteers, tackle the bushfires that have been blazing all over the country for the past few months.

As the US firefighters arrived to assist in Victoria this week, they were given a round of applause by onlookers.
