Colonel Tom Moore shares his VE Day memories

Colonel Tom Moore has become a national hero in recent weeks, raising millions of pounds for the NHS through his incredible fundraising challenge.

However, you may not know that the 100-year-old served in the British Army during the Second World War and VE Day is an important date for many war veterans like him.

It marked the end of the war, when fighting against Nazi Germany in Europe came to an end.
