Charities want more LGBT+ education in school

This Pride month, charity Just Like Us have been encouraging schools to teach their students more about issues that affect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people (LGBT+).

According to the charities, people being bullied because of their sexuality or identity remains a problem in many UK schools.

The charity hopes that by teaching more young people about the LGBT+ community, they can help prevent bullying in the future.
