Sudan is a gigantic country in Africa.

It includes part of the Sahara - the world’s largest desert - and the Nile – the world’s longest river - in it.

Sudan has a rich history going back to the Pharaohs of Egypt.

But it’s in the news now because fighting has broken out across the country.
