Jake Daniels: 'I'm a footballer, I've come out as gay and I'm still strong'

Research from the Rainbow Laces campaign by LGBT charity Stonewall has shown that only four in 10 sports fans think that sport is welcoming for the LGBT community.

Blackpool striker Jake Daniels is the first professional footballer in the UK men's game for more than 30 years to come out as gay while still playing.

He revealed his sexuality in 2022 and at the time, president of the Football Association, Prince William, said he hopes Jake's courage "will help break down barriers that have no place in our society".

Hayley sat down with Jake to talk about these barriers and hear his story.
