How peanut butter is helping to save pine martens

These playful pine martens are part of a special conservation project in Cumbria.

Thirteen of them were released near Grizedale Forest last autumn in the hopes that they can increase numbers of the rare mammal in the wild again.

Around 200 years ago, pine martens were nearly driven to extinction in the UK because of hunting and a loss of places for them to live.

Now conservationists are keeping an eye on them using ..... peanut butter.
