Why do wildfires happen in the UK?

Every year countries around the world are affected by wildfires, including here in the UK.

So far this year, the area burnt by wildfires is already the largest for the last 10 years.

Experts say long periods of dry, sunny weather - like we have experienced this Spring - can make the issue worse.

Emma-Louise has been to West Lothian in Scotland, which has recently seen a large wildfire, to find out more.
