General election 2024: What do all the words mean?

On 4 July, a vote, called the general election, is happening across the UK.

The vote will decide which political party gets to form a government and run the country.

And as that date gets closer, it means politicians will be on TV and social feeds a lot more - and there might be some words and phrases used that you're not familiar with.

So Ricky's here to take you through some of the general election terms that we'll be hearing over the next few weeks.
