Durham have re-signed Australian all-rounder John Hastings for the 2015 campaign, following a successful stint with Jon Lewis' side this season.

Hastings, 28, helped Durham to the One-Day Cup final before departing for the T20 Champions League to play for Chennai Super Kings.

He took 65 wickets and scored 580 runs in all competitions for the County Championship Division One side in 2014.

"I can't wait to get back to Durham," said Hastings.

"I could not be happier to have signed at a place that has given me a great amount of joy over the course of the last five months."

Despite playing a major role in their run to the One-Day Cup final at Lord's, which Durham won last week, Hastings was unable to feature in the decider because of existing commitments.

The former Australia Test and limited-overs international also featured for Chennai in the Indian Premier League before first deciding to join Durham.

The deal is subject to visa clearance and governing body approval.
