Leicestershire have re-signed Wayne White on a three-year deal after the all-rounder was released by Derbyshire.

The 29-year-old left the Foxes to join Lancashire in 2013 after four seasons with the county.

White took 17 Championship wickets in three games for Derbyshire this summer.

"Wayne is a player I know well after playing with him at Leicestershire. He will be an asset for us with bat and ball, and in the field," Leicestershire head coach Andrew McDonald said., external

"Wayne knows the set-up here and is a player who can do well in all three formats of the game, and we're excited to have him back at Grace Road," he added.

White has scored 2,582 first-class runs at an average of 23.90 in his career and taken 183 wickets with best figures of 6-25.

He will be available for bottom side Leicestershire's final five County Championship Division Two games of the season.
