Bradford 1-0 Torquay

Craig Fagan scored the only goal as 10-man Bradford beat Torquay to claim their first win in seven league games.

Bantams defender Andrew Davies was shown a straight red card for a foul on Danny Stevens after only 24 minutes.

But the hosts scored as Fagan grabbed his first Bradford goal when he shot through the legs of Robert Olejnik.

Torquay's Kevin Nicholson had a shot from 20 yards saved by Matt Duke, while Fagan nearly doubled Bradford's lead but hit the underside of the bar.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Torquay United manager Martin Ling told BBC Radio Devon:

We put in a soft performance - Ling

"You look at what their goalkeeper's had to do today. A shot from Nicholson and he's not really had to get his shorts dirty after that.

"We've all played in a team that's won with 10, it isn't easy for players to deal with. It galvanised them.

"Their goal summed up our performance."
