Striker Wilfried Bony is close to agreeing a new contract with Swansea City.
The 25-year-old Ivorian was linked with a move away from Swansea in July, after scoring 25 goals in his first season.
Bony joined for a club-record fee of £12m in 2013 and still has three years left on his current deal.
"Negotiations are going very well. Hopefully things will be done this week," said Bony.
"I have a great relationship with my team-mates, the staff and fans. It is a fantastic club and I am I am happy to be here.
"I am focussed on Swansea and a one-year extension would be perfect for me."
Bony's existing deal is believed to contain a £20m release clause but it is understood the new contract will not include any release clause.
He has scored four goals in Swansea's last five games after failing to find the target in the opening six league games.

Manager Garry Monk revealed recently that the Swans had opened contract talks with Bony.
Bony joined Swansea from Vitesse Arnhem in July 2013 and 16 of his goals were scored in the Premier League in 2013-14.
He scored twice for the Ivory Coast at the 2014 World Cup finals and was the subject of huge transfer speculation during the close season.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur were all reported to be interested in Bony, but Monk insisted the striker was not for sale.
