Wrexham 2-3 Altrincham

  • Published

Substitute Damian Reeves scored twice as 10 man Altrincham came back to beat nine man Wrexham in the Conference.

Elliott Durrell opened the scoring before Altrincham's Scott Leather was sent off for a challenge on Mark Carrington.

Louis Moult added a second but was sent off two minutes later with Andy Bishop also dismissed in the second half.

Reeves struck twice to bring Altrincham level before James Lawrie secured victory.

Wrexham, who handed debuts to on loan Jonathan Flatt and Scott Tancock, have now gone eight league games without a win.

Wrexham manager Kevin Wilkin told BBC Radio Wales:

"I'm gutted with that. You're 2-0 up against 10 men and comfortable and to come away with nothing is quite difficult and will take a little while to gather my thoughts.

"It's difficult to start criticising people when you've had to play so long with nine men.

"I'll perhaps go and look at the goals and think we probably could have done better for the goals but is it harsh to be critical of the players at that stage? Possibly."
