Scunthorpe United have released long-serving goalkeeper Sam Slocombe.

Slocombe, 26, who only featured 15 times this season because of injury, made his Iron debut in September 2009 and made 115 league appearances.

The side have also decided not to offer new deals to defenders Miguel Llera, 35, Eddie Nolan, 26, Marcus Williams, 29, and midfielder Matt Sparrow, 33.

Manager Mark Robins guided the Glanford Park club to a 16th-placed finish in League One.

Goalkeeper James Severn, 23, and defender Callum Howe, 21, have also been told they will not be having their contracts renewed.

However, they plan to hold talks with goalkeeper Joe Anyon, midfielder Isaiah Osbourne and winger Gary McSheffrey.
