Livingston have signed former Aberdeen under-20s captain Kieran Gibbons to bolster their midfield.

Manager Mark Burchill made his move after he impressed on trial.

He joins striker Liam Buchanan and defender Jackson Longridge who agreed two-year deals after a signing embargo was lifted at Almondvale.

Jordyn Sheerin, a 25-year-old striker who scored 42 goals for Scottish Junior Cup finalists Musselburgh Athletic, was their first addition.

Longridge, 20, who steps up from League One outfit Stranraer, made 46 appearances last season after leaving Ayr United.

Buchanan, 30, who has played for Cowdenbeath, Partick Thistle, Dunfermline Athletic, Sligo Rovers, Ayr and East Fife, played 47 games for Alloa last season and the last of his 17 goals helped the Wasps avoid relegation with a play-off win over Forfar Athletic.

Sheerin last played in the senior leagues for East Stirlingshire in 2012 after spells with East Fife and Arbroath.

He has since played in the junior game with Camelon and even dropped into the Scottish Amateur league with Heriot Vale.

Meanwhile, forward Myles Hippolyte, who scored six goals in 42 appearances after joining from Southall last summer, has signed a new one-year contract.
