Queen of the South have confirmed the signings of Kyle Jacobs and Dale Hilson ahead of the new season.

Teenage left-back Jordan Marshall is also set to join the Dumfries men subject to international clearance.

Midfielder Jacobs, 24, was at Livingston last season while striker Hilson, 22, has left Forfar Athletic.

"Looking at the players we've lost over summer it's important we replace them with similar quality and I think we're doing that," said manager James Fowler.

"Kyle is someone I know well, he has played a lot of games and has a vast amount of experience for someone of his age.

"He is a player that can play in a number of positions, which is the kind of player I'm looking for, we need utility within the squad and I see Kyle as a very good addition.

"Dale is another player who has played a lot of games for a 22 year old. He's a striker who works hard, can score goals and his link up play is good as well. I think he will have an important role next season.

"Jordan came to us at the end of last season after he was highly recommended to us in January by Danny Grainger. He's an attacking full back who's hungry to do well, he has shown a lot of potential. He's an exciting player".
