Michael Smith, Nick Townsend & Harry White: Barnsley sign trio

Barnsley have signed Swindon striker Michael Smith on loan, while Birmingham City goalkeeper Nick Townsend and Gloucester City striker Harry White have joined for undisclosed fees.
Smith, 23, has joined the Tykes until 4 January with an option to buy.
Townsend, 20, who has signed a three-year deal, joined the Tykes on loan last month.
White, also 20, scored nine goals in 17 games for the National League North side and has signed a two-year deal.
On Smith, Tykes boss Lee Johnson said:, external "I'm really pleased to get this one over the line. Michael will not only bring a great presence to our forward line but he also adds goals, too."
