Matt Palmer: Oldham bring in Burton midfielder on loan

Matt Palmer's only goals this season was the winner in August's League Cup upset against Championship side Bolton Wanderers

Oldham Athletic have signed midfielder Matt Palmer from fellow League One side Burton Albion on a youth loan until 27 February.

The 20-year-old, who came through the Brewers academy, has played over 100 games for club and helped them to promotion from League Two last season.

He becomes John Sheridan's first signing since returning as manager.

"He's a little different to what we've got and he will be a good addition to us," Sheridan told the club website.
