    McNulty Q&A

Jurgen Klopp & Daniel SturridgeImage source, Reuters

"It's such a difficult and frustrating situation and I can certainly understand why Jurgen Klopp does not want to give a running commentary on Sturridge's injury situation. He will not want to increase the noise and chatter around a saga that seems to have been going on forever.

"Klopp must be so frustrated himself because he has seen in the 6-1 Capital One Cup win at Southampton what a difference Sturridge can make to Liverpool - but there must surely come a point when he is either fit or he has to make the decision to simply rule him out of his long-term planning.

"All good managers protect their players, as Klopp is doing... even though we in the media would love him to say more!"
