2023 Island Games: Jersey's Lucy O'Sullivan wins two gold medals

Jersey's gold medallist Lucy O'Sullivan has shot for Great Britain

Jersey's Lucy O'Sullivan won individual compound gold and led her island team a team title at the 2023 island Games.

The 2015 silver medallist took gold with Guernsey's Zoe Gray picking up a bronze medal on her home turf.

Guernsey's mixed compound team also won bronze behind the Jersey winners.

Guernsey's Lisa Gray won women's recurve silver, ahead of Jersey's Mollie Perrett in third as Guernsey won team silver just ahead of their Channel Island rivals who took bronze.

O'Sullivan was 43 points ahead of Isle of Man's Aalin George with Zoe Gray a further 29 points back, while Jersey were 116 points ahead of Guernsey in the team compound event.

Lisa Gray was 31 points off Gotland's gold medallist Rebekka Gannholm with Perrett just four more points adrift.

Multiple medals for Channel Island swimmers

Guernsey and Jersey's swimmers dominated the medals on the opening day of races in the pool.

Guernsey's Oriana Wheeler took 400m individual medley gold ahead of Jersey's Clara Ginnis Jersey's Isaac Doods was the winner of the men's 200m butterfly.

Guernsey's Orla Rabey beat Jersey's Gemma Atherley and Siena Stephens to win the women;s 100m butterfly while compatriot Ronnie Hallett won the 100n breaststroke from his brother Charlie-Joe who took silver.,

Gemma Atherley won a gold for Jersey in the women's 200m freestyle while Guernsey's Laura Le Cras was 50m breaststroke winner and helped the Sarnians win the 4x50m freestyle relay.

Jersey's Isaac Dodds win the 200m individual medley from Robbie Jones with Charlie-Joe Hallett getting bronze.
