Phew! What a night of action on the second Sunday of the NFL season, with some thrilling finishes to some epic encounters.

It was tight and tense as the Eagles beat the Chiefs in their Super Bowl rematch, but it was a flat out barnburner in the fourth quarter in Dallas.

We had five touchdowns scored to take the lead in the final 12 minutes of the game, before the Cowboys eventually edged the Giants 40-37 in overtime.

Joe Burrow's injury is a huge worry for the Bengals, but back-up Jake Browning at least engineered a win over the Jaguars, while Aaron Rodgers lost his home debut in Pittsburgh against Seattle.

More madness ensued in Miami with back-to-back return touchdowns from each team - the Pats answering a punt return with a touchdown on the ensuing kick-off while a huge Carolina comeback just fell short in Arizona.

The Colts won a thriller on the last kick of the game - at the second attempt - and the Lions, Bills and Ravens all dished out heavy defeats on the Bears, Jets and Browns respectively.

Not bad for just the second week of the season eh? And just imagine what will happen next week, so make sure you join us then for another pulsating night of NFL action.

It wasn't pretty, but the Philadelphia Eagles followed up their Super Bowl victory with another win over the Kansas City Chiefs - in a game that turned on just one play.

What could've been a Travis Kelce touchdown turned into an Eagles interception and then from there Philly used their running power, and the controversial tush push, to see the game out.

Both defences played brilliantly, but the Eagles just had an extra bit of qualify on offence to make the big plays at big times, with Patrick Mahomes lacking that depth of talent to throw the ball to.

And while the Eagles start the season 2-0, the Chiefs drop to 0-2 for the very first time since Patrick Mahomes became their starting quarterback.

    Is Chiefs Kingdom crumbling?

  4. Cardinals win 27-22 against the Pantherspublished at 00:24 BST 15 September

    Carolina Panthers 22-27 Arizona Cardinals

Calais Campbell with the fourth down sack on Panthers quarterback Bryce Young clinches the victory for the Arizona Cardinals.

Campbell celebrated his 39th birthday a fortnight ago.

The Cardinals were 27-3 ahead, but the Panthers fought back brilliantly in the second half.

In the end, it was step too far the Panthers and the Cardinals go 2-0.

  5. That's the gamepublished at 00:21 BST 15 September

Philadelphia Eagles 20-17 Kansas City Chiefs

And of course that tush piush, this time for a first down, will seal the game for the Eagles and they'll win their Super Bowl rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs in a really hard-fought contest at Arrowhead.

  6. Cardinals hang in therepublished at 00:21 BST 15 September

    Carolina Panthers 22-27 Arizona Cardinals

Kei'Trel Clark from the Cardinals bats away Bryce Young's latest dime attempt and the Panthers can feel this fading away.

Fourth down next and the Panthers have to go for it...

  7. Panthers keep battlingpublished at 00:20 BST 15 September

    Carolina Panthers 22-27 Arizona Cardinals

More officiating drama after Bryce Young's long passes are failing to come off.

The Panthers are at 3rd&15, 38 yards from goal.

  8. Another Cardinals setbackpublished at 00:17 BST 15 September

    Carolina Panthers 22-27 Arizona Cardinals

Just when the Panthers' luck is looking to run out, another decision goes against the Cardinals for roughing the passer.

We are into the final minute and the Panthers are 33 yards from goal.

  9. More drama in Arizonapublished at 00:15 BST 15 September

    Carolina Panthers 22-27 Arizona Cardinals

On fourth down, quarterback Bryce Young needs five yards to get to first down.

He steps back and keeps going for around 20 or so yards before he is tackled, fumbles and the Cardinals take possession.

A five-yard penalty against the Cardinals gives Young a reprieve and with less than 90 seconds to go, the Panthers need to go 46 yards for victory.

  10. Onside kickpublished at 00:14 BST 15 September

Philadelphia Eagles 20-17 Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs go for the onside kick despite three minutes still being on the clock. These are tough these days and this one doesn't even go the required 10 yards so the Eagles get it on halfway.

I've got to say I don't love that call from Andy Reid again - the Chiefs have played so well on defence I'd have kicked it long and trusted them to get a quick stop.

  11. Panthers chasing in final two minutespublished at 00:12 BST 15 September

    Carolina Panthers 22-27 Arizona Cardinals

You would have been forgiven for thinking this match was done and dusted a long time ago.

    On the contrary...

The Panthers get the onside kick to go after that last touchdown and are on the drive in the final two minutes.

  12. touchdown

Touchdown - Chiefspublished at 00:12 BST 15 September

Philadelphia Eagles 20-17 Kansas City Chiefs

We're not done yet! Patrick Mahomes had been launching deep ball after deep ball as the Chiefs get desperate, and finally one connects as Tyquan Thornton hauls it in for a 49-yard touchdown.

We've got a game on here folks!

  13. Colts beat Broncos in 57-point thrillerpublished at 00:10 BST 15 September

    Denver Broncos 28-29 Indianapolis Colts

The final few seconds sum up how brilliant that much was.

Spencer Shrader's second attempt is good and the Colts win 29-28 over the Broncos.

For the first time since 2009, the Colts go 2-0.

  14. Missed him!published at 00:08 BST 15 September

Philadelphia Eagles 20-10 Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes has a wide open receiver down field but he's way off as he tries to heave it down there for him. That's a huge miss as it was a walk-in touchdown if he could just connect, as Philly's defence had totally missed him.

  15. Missed kick, but Colts get another chancepublished at 00:08 BST 15 September

    Denver Broncos 28-26 Indianapolis Colts

Spencer Sharder's kick is wide to the right of the posts, but there is a penalty!

Shrader is given a lifeline and a 15-yard advantage with this second attempt.

    You can't write this drama...

  16. A game-deciding kickpublished at 00:07 BST 15 September

    Denver Broncos 28-26 Indianapolis Colts

This is the moment for Spencer Shrader.

A 60-yard attempt, two points down, three seconds left on the clock...

  17. Eagles puntpublished at 00:06 BST 15 September

Philadelphia Eagles 20-10 Kansas City Chiefs

Another tush push and more controversy as the Eagles are ruled short of a first down, and then are given it.

In the end they have to punt soon anyway so the Chiefs have another chance to try and get back into the game.

  18. touchdown

Touchdown - Pantherspublished at 00:06 BST 15 September

    Carolina Panthers 21-22 Arizona Cardinals

Harvey Renfrow gets his second touchdown of the night as the Panthers cut the Cardinals' lead.

They trail by five after the extra-point with just under two minutes to go.

A brilliant comeback from 27-3 down.

  19. Jones with a clutch passpublished at 00:04 BST 15 September

    Denver Broncos 28-26 Indianapolis Colts

Colts quarterback Daniel Jones is faced with a 3rd&6 on the halfway line, less than two minutes remaining.

Jones, as he has done throughout this game, finds the run of Alec Pierce to get to first down and they are really nearing field goal territory.

The Colts are trailing, but look favourites to win in the dying embers.

  20. Panthers closing in on scorepublished at 00:01 BST 15 September

    Carolina Panthers 15-27 Arizona Cardinals

On 2nd&10, Bryce Young fires from 11 yards towards the end zone, but straight over the head of Xavier Legette.

The next play takes them to within one of goal as Young picks out Harvey Renfrow.

They are on the goal line, but 12 points down and into the last two minutes.
