I am keeping an eye on Hanna Klein, the European champion.

Going back to fourth place, but she is looking very comfortable and has great speed. Klein has great pedigree over 1500m.

British sprinter CJ Ujah, speaking to BBC Sport, on the European Championships being his first event for the British team since serving a 22-month doping ban: "It feels different. I had to control my nerves and make sure I advanced to the next round. I have not been out here at this level in a while.

"I have been at European championships four times, but the nerves were going. I managed to keep them under control.

"It has been hard. I cannot put it into words, but you know I was always hoping that I would be cleared and I would never purposely do what happened. Hopefully I can fight my way back to the top."

On testing positive for two substances: "This sport is black and white. We all make mistakes in life and obviously I made it at this level which I didn't want to do. I know I can walk with my head held high knowing I didn't try to cheat.

"I have learned a lot about myself, the resilience and the mental health it has taken a lot to get back to this point - I appreciate my support system. My little son is spurring me on and that's what is keeping me going."

On facing team-mates: "They have all received with me open arms and I have manged to speak to each of them individually. People are entitled to react how they want to and I had to tell them 'listen it was not intentional, I did not mean any harm'. Hopefully we can get on the track and win another medal."

Ujah has just spoken to the BBC. We will bring you what he had to say shortly.

British heptathlete Jade O'Dowda, speaking to the BBC: "I am tired, but everyone else is. Overall a good day I am very happy with my high jump although it took three attempts for a lot of them.

"In the hurdles I did okay, I missed the start, but I am happy with it. Shot put I am quite disappointed with.

"I feel okay and being here you rise to the occasion anyway. In a couple of events I have fallen a bit short and we will see how tomorrow goes."

On Katarina Johnson-Thompson's withdrawal: "She is amazing to be around and gives advice here and there. I am sure she is looking onto bigger things - she will be okay."
