#DontHitSnooze: Posh jar noodles

Posh jar noodle

Serves 2. You'll need a heatproof glass jar, small Thermos flask or plastic lunch box.

Approx cost: £1.39 per portion (recipes makes 2 portions)

Ingredients

  • 50g wholegrain spaghetti (raw weight), cooked according to packet instructions - yields about 150g cooked

  • 2 miso soup sachets (with accompanying seaweed ideally) or 2 tbsp miso paste

  • A handful (100g) tinned sweetcorn, drained

  • A handful (100g) frozen peas

  • A handful (100g) cooked chicken

  • 280g boiling water (just over half a pint)

Instructions

  1. Place the miso soup paste at the bottom of the jar

  2. Add the sweetcorn, peas and chicken

  3. Add 75g cooked spaghetti

  4. Top with the seaweed sachet that came with the miso soup OR with fresh herbs

Store with a lid on in a refrigerator until ready to eat.

When ready to eat pour over 140g of boiling water. Leave to steep for five minutes then enjoy.
