Lancashire bowler Simon Kerrigan surprised at Lions call-up

Simon Kerrigan tells BBC Radio Lancashire he was surprised to be called up into the England Lions 12-man squad for their match against West Indies on 10 May.

Kerrigan, who will be 23 on the first day of the game, has 73 County Championship wickets at an average of just over 24 in 23 matches since making his first-class debut for Lancashire against Warwickshire in 2010.

He won the NBC Denis Compton Award as Lancashire's most-promising young cricketer in both 2010 and 2011 - and featured for England Lions in Bangladesh in January.
