Nick Compton expected England Test call

Somerset batsman Nick Compton says he expected to make the England Test team because it is what he has been working towards since he started playing.

Compton, grandson of England legend Denis, has been called up to join the tour of India after finishing as top scorer in the county championship.

The 29-year-old was speaking at the Professional Cricketers' Association Awards where he won the player of the year title after hitting 1,191 runs for Somerset in 2012.
