Tour de France: Chris Froome happy with Bradley Wiggins defence

Tour de France runner-up Chris Froome says it makes sense for Team Sky to go for a "two-pronged" attack with both him and Bradley Wiggins looking to win the 2013 Tour de France.

Team Sky boss Dave Brailsford initially indicated Froome was set to lead the British outfit's Tour de France 2013 challenge.

But 2012 winner Wiggins recently said he wanted to defend his title and Froome thinks it makes sense for the team to support both riders.

Froome also pays tribute to Wiggins after his team-mate was voted the 2012 BBC Sports Personality of the Year, saying the award would be something he would cherish.
