Martyn Irvine: World Track champ back training after hip fracture
World Track Cycling champion Martyn Irvine is making a speedy recovery after breaking his hip in a race in late March and hopes to be back in action by August.
Irvine's recovery is being helped by his regular sessions at the Sports Institute of Northern Ireland at Jordanstown.
The Newtownards man is aiming to compete on the track at next year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow but he admits that his future focus will be more on road competition.
