Reade reveals depression struggle after Olympic heartache

Early 2014 world champion BMX rider Shanaze Reade admitted to BBC Sport's Nick Hope that missing out on medals at both the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympic Games had led to a struggle with depression.

The cyclist said the results left her feeling like a "disgrace" and that she was "ashamed" not to have claimed the honours she was capable of achieving.

Reade goes on to discuss how she hopes a move to California, USA, to compete in the North American BMX circuit would improve not only her mood but also fortunes.
