Bradley Wiggins feels 'obliged' to attempt hour record

Sir Bradley Wiggins tells BBC Sport's OJ Borg that he feels "obliged" to attempt the hour record ahead of his world record bid this Sunday.

The 2012 Tour de France winner hopes to follow in the footsteps of several cycling legends who have attempted the record, including Eddy Merckx and Francesco Moser.

Wiggins has previously said that he intends to put cycling's iconic hour track record "out of reach" when he rides in London on 7 June.

Follow live text updates on Wiggins' attempt on the BBC Sport website, mobiles and BBC Sport app from 18:00 BST on Sunday
