McKillop blow as Paralympics drop 800m race

Middle distance runner Michael McKillop says he is disappointed his 800 metres event has been dropped from the Paralympics in Rio.

The Glengormley man, who has a mild form of cerebral palsy, won the 800 event in the T37 class in 2008 and 2012.

He will, however, be able to defend the 1500 title he won at last year's London Games.
