Graham Taylor says FA right to strip Terry of England captaincy

Former England manager Graham Taylor says the FA have acted correctly by removing the England captaincy from John Terry.

The Chelsea captain is due to stand trial in July over racial abuse allegations after an incident with QPR's Anton Ferdinand and was informed that he had been stripped of the armband by FA chairman David Bernstein on Friday morning.

Taylor believes England manager Fabio Capello will choose Steven Gerrard as Terry's replacement.
