Sir Alex Ferguson advises Rio Ferdinand over John Terry
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson advises Rio Ferdinand to "rise above" the racial abuse allegations surrounding Chelsea's John Terry when the two sides meet at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Terry, who has been stripped of the England captaincy, is to stand trial in July over racial abuse allegations after an incident with Ferdinand's brother, QPR defender Anton, and Terry has entered a plea of not guilty to the charge.
Terry will miss Sunday's match due to a knee injury, but Ferguson insists that Ferdinand "has got nothing to be ashamed of if he does decide to shake John Terry's hand".
