Rio Ferdinand rules out England captaincy

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says he does not want to replace John Terry as England captain.

Terry, who will stand trial in July over allegations he racially abused Ferdinand's brother and QPR defender Anton, has been stripped of the role.

Ferdinand says he just wants to "concentrate on playing for United", but admits he would be "delighted" to feature for England again in the future.

Watch the Rio Ferdinand interview in full on Saturday's Football Focus, 1215 GMT on BBC One and this website.
