Manchester United are Premier League favourites - Mancini

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini insists neighbours United are favourites for this season's Premier League title.

The Italian says that Sir Alex Ferguson's men "always" challenge for the title and knows the addition of "top" striker Robin van Persie will improve them.

Manchester City begin their league defence with a home game on Sunday against newly promoted Southampton.
