England boss Roy Hodgson says Ashley Cole will face Brazil

England manager Roy Hodgson confirms Ashley Cole will start their friendly against Brazil and win his 100th international cap.

The Chelsea defender will become only the seventh England player to reach a century of appearances.

But Hodgson says it will be down to captain Steven Gerrard to lead the team out for the friendly, not Cole.

Gerrard says Cole deserves to be regarded as one of the greats for his country because of his consistency.
