Liverpool 3-2 Tottenham: Brendan Rodgers praises Liverpool character

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says that his side showed great "spirit, character and quality" to beat Tottenham 3-2 at Anfield.

A late Steven Gerrard penalty was the difference between the sides and enough to keep Liverpool's "momentum" going as they secured a fourth consecutive win in all competitions.

The Reds are the Premier League's leading scorers in 2013 with 25 goals so far and the win lifts them to within seven points of fourth spot and ahead of local rivals Everton on goal difference.
