Dave Whelan should do honourable thing - Clarke Carlisle

Former chairman of the Professional Footballers' Association Clarke Carlisle says it would be an honourable thing for Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan to step down.

Carlisle claims Whelan's controversial comments about Jewish people and Chinese people, in the wake of appointing Malky Mackay as manager, shows the thought processes of people at the top of football.

The Football Association is looking into allegations Mackay sent sexist, racist and homophobic text messages during his time in charge of Cardiff City.
