Man Utd v Liverpool is more than a game - Rodgers

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says Sunday's fixture against Manchester United at Old Trafford is "more than a football game".

The Anfield club sit seven points behind United in the Premier League, but Rodgers stated the fixture is "perfect" for his stuttering side.

Having failed to qualify for the latter stages of the Champions League due to Tuesday's 1-1 draw with FC Basle, Rodgers described himself as "even more determined" to succeed in his role as Liverpool boss.
