The Open: Lee Westwood's storms into contention

Lee Westwood hits a round of 68 to move into contention at The Open as he pursues his first major win.

The 40-year-old from Worksop, runner-up in 2010, holed six birdies in the first 12 holes, but then bogeyed three of the remaining six to finish the day on two-under par at Muirfield.

Westwood says he "made the most of the softer conditions" in the morning after recording a round of three-under par to move up The Open leaderboard at Muirfield.
