The Masters: Darren Clarke backs Rory McIlroy to win at Augusta

European Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke says Rory McIlroy's game "is too perfectly suited for Augusta" for him not to win The Masters.

Clarke, who will skipper the European team at Hazeltine in 2016, describes McIlroy's game as "incredible" and backs his fellow Northern Irishman to win his first green jacket "sooner rather than later" and complete a career grand slam of major titles.

However, the 2011 Open winner says it is "a big call" to say that McIlroy will eclipse Tiger Woods as the pre-eminent name in golf at next month's event, and hopes the American will soon return to form and the tour.
