Belfast Giants player Colin Shields stars in GB ice hockey triumph

Belfast Giants player Colin Shields is named forward of the tournament after Great Britain's success in the World Championship Division One Group B.

GB maintained their 100% by beating Japan 4-0 in their fifth and final game at the SSE Arena in Belfast and are promoted to the second highest tier of world ice hockey for the first time in over 20 years.

Shields, from Glasgow, became GB's leading goal scorer of all time when he netted his 41st against the Netherlands earlier in the tournament.
