Cavan 'backed off' at key time says manager Terry Hyland
Cavan manager Terry Hyland says Cavan lost impetus just when they appeared in control in the second half of Sunday's 0-16 to 0-15 Ulster SFC defeat by Monaghan.
"We worked so hard and probably got a little bit of leverage in the second half but we didn't push it on at that stage," said Hyland referring to when Cavan moved into a 0-13 to 0-9 lead at Breffni Park.
Despite his team's defeat, Hyland believes his squad will regroup for the qualifiers.
"I don't think there will be any problem getting the boys up for the qualifiers," added the Cavan manager.
