Olympics cycling: Anna Meares beats Victoria Pendleton to gold

Australia's Anna Meares wins gold in the women's sprint, beating Britain's Victoria Pendleton 2-0 in the final.

Pendleton initially won the first heat by 0.001s, but was relegated for crossing the red line which marks out the sprinter's lane once the final sprint had started.

The race was Pendleton's last in a glittering career which has seen her win two Olympic gold medals and nine World Championships.
