Guernsey bowler Alison Merrien says she is hoping to get her second World Champion of Champions title.
The seven-time world champion will face national winners from around the world in Hong Kong as she aims to repeat her 2007 victory in the event.
"I'm hoping to grab my hands on that trophy again," she told BBC Guernsey.
Merrien must make the top three in her group to have a chance of the semi-finals, with the top player advancing and the next two playing off.
But she conceded that it will not be easy as she meets the top players from around the world.
"Natalie Melmore, who won Commonwealth Games gold for England will be there, as will Jo Edwards who is currently number one in the world and is the New Zealand champion at the moment," Merrien said.
