A swell of boos ring out around the AT&T Stadium as Jake Paul's boxing record and his lengthy CV are read out by the ring announcer.

He won't be surprised. Paul has been on the receiving end of that reaction all week.

Being in the ring with Mike Tyson, I know he can take a punch. He's got a thick head. I remember punching him and they would ricochet off.

Jake Paul is going to feel the worst pain ever within 2 rounds. I for one couldn't be happier with that outcome.

No bells and whistles on this.

It's all business from Mike Tyson.

The 58-year-old looks very serious as he makes his way to the ring at a steady pace.

Tyson is dressed in all black with a sleeveless vest - it actually just looks like he's cut a hole in a towel and chucked it over his head.

Right, that was a long and drawn out trip to the ring from Jake Paul.

What has Mike Tyson got up his sleeve?

I was 15 the last time Tyson walked to a boxing ring for a professional contest.

  9. How do Tyson and Paul's records compare?published at 04:57 Greenwich Mean Time

    Tyson v Paul

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul's records are worlds, and years, apart.

    Let's break this down.

Tyson first stepped into the ring as a professional in 1985 - 12 years before Paul was born!

During a 20-year career, Tyson picked up 50 victories, with 44 knockouts and six defeats.

He became the youngest heavyweight world champion ever at the age of 20 - a record that still stands today - and is a two-time heavyweight champion, reigning as undisputed champion between 1987 and 1990.

Tyson stepped into retirement in 2005 following successive stoppage losses, but has returned to the ring for a few exhibition fights, including facing Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

As for Paul, he is one of the world's most recognisable YouTubers, spent time working on Disney Channel programme Bizaardvark and has more recently ventured into the world of combat sports.

Comparison of Mike Tyson and Jake Paul's boxing records

After getting a taste of pugilism via YouTuber boxing events, Paul made his professional debut in 2020. He has faced a raft of well-known names, although many of them are mixed martial artists trying boxing for the first time.

Paul has picked up wins against former UFC fighters Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva.

He has a record of 10 wins and one defeat, with his only loss coming against boxer and Love Island star Tommy Fury in 2023.

Paul's most recent victory came in July when he beat former UFC fighter and bare-knuckle boxer Mike Perry.

The 27-year-old has never fought more than eight rounds, with seven stoppages on his record.

Paul has boxed 52 rounds while Tyson has fought 215 rounds.

  10. Predictions - 'Never bet against a legend'published at 04:57 Greenwich Mean Time

    Tyson v Paul

Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew: "Fingers crossed that Mike [Tyson] has that one big right hand in him and he saves boxing, because this guy [Jake Paul] is single-handedly trying to destroy it."

Jake Paul: "I will beat Mike Tyson because the gods are on my side, the universe is on my side and I've done every single thing for the last four years properly to prepare for this moment and this guy does not want it more than me. I have the heart of a warrior."

Seven-weight world champion Amanda Serrano: "Come on, Jake Paul."

Undisputed light-welterweight champion Katie Taylor: "You can never bet against a legend, Mike Tyson."

Olympic gold medallist Galal Yafai: "It's a farce, I don't think the fight should really be happening. You've got to go with Jake Paul because he's the younger man and boxing is a young man's game. Tyson has had his day but he's nearly 60 now. It's embarrassing really, so you'd have to go with Jake Paul because of his youth."

Jake Paul is first to make his entrance and this is looking like some entrance.

He's sat next to his brother Logan Paul in the back of a customised green Chevrolet.

There is a caged pigeon too.

For context, Mike Tyson is known to keep hundreds of racing pigeons at his home.

The entrance is bizarre but I've got a lot of time for the music - 'In The Air Tonight' by Phil Collins.

    Absolute banger.

  12. 'Talking's over'published at 04:53 Greenwich Mean Time

    Tyson v Paul

Jake Paul's attempt to goad Mike Tyson throughout fight week seemed to come to a head when the two fighters weighed-in yesterday.

Tyson, looking in remarkable shape for a 58-year-old, landed a slap on the cops of Paul, before saying the "talking's over".

Tyson tipped the scales at 16st 4lb with Paul a pound lighter.

  13. Bellew wants Tyson to 'save boxing'published at 04:52 Greenwich Mean Time

    Tyson v Paul

Who had former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew being escorted out of Wednesday's news conference on their bingo card?

The Liverpudlian is firmly on the side of boxing purists for tonight's main event - hoping Mike Tyson gets the job done against Jake Paul.

"Nobody wants to give me credit."

Jake Paul feels he has not been given the respect he deserves for his achievements after 11 professional bouts.

Can we really take him serious with that rooster on his head?

Well Kal Sajad tried to do just that this week in Dallas, read all about Paul the showman here.

The commentators and fans moaning about Tayor leading with her head? So you choose to not to mention the shoulder flicks Serrano was dropping in the clinches? Two way dirty tactics they both tried everything to win… it’s a fight.

Lots of noise over these clashes of heads. From what I saw, both fighters were moving their heads forward so how is it solely Taylor's fault? Just because Serrano was cut and Taylor wasn't?

Mike Tyson downplayed concerns around his health this week, insisting he is "just fine", but has been taking extra precautions to avoid picking up any illnesses during fight week.

His team have handed out masks to anyone who entered Tyson's remit in fight week.

The 58-year-old has not fought professional since 2005 and suffered a stomach ulcer this summer which caused this fight to be postponed.

"No one is taking it easy on me. They want to see if I quit or not and I'm still here. All the training is over now. The fight is the party, the training is preparation, but the fight is the party," Tyson told BBC Sport.

  20. What are the rules of the Tyson v Paul fight?published at 04:45 Greenwich Mean Time

    Tyson v Paul

So this is professional fight, but with some big stipulations.

The rounds can only be two minutes long and the bout cannot go longer than eight rounds.

Another big thing is the glove size. Tyson and Paul will wear 14oz gloves rather than the traditional 10oz gloves worn in professional boxing.

Knockouts will be allowed and a winner will be announced at the end of the eight rounds.

It's pretty unusual, even by today's ever changing standards.

If you're still confused, maybe our very own Sam Harris can enlighten you.
